FATTY. JUICY. YUMMY Long Weekends!

Saturday (26th July 2014)

The boy went with me to church for my church 25th Anniversary!
It feels even greater, when Terrence is back too!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CHC!

So glad to be in this house of God for more than 11 years, the best has yet to come~!

Happy that I'm blessed with awesome friendship, my awesomepeeps.

We grew up in church together.

After service, my awesomepeeps and I went back down to

Godma's for awesome feasting.

Godma did it again this round with Roasted Veggies, Rosti, Apple Crumple, Pastas &

even self-made Peppermint ice-cream.

Yummy. Yumyums~

The food was so good that all of us were eating quietly and quickly!
Snatching and aiming at the food..

nearly left none for Jojo, the late-comer. hahaha!!

We also took the opportunity to celebrate Terrence and my Boy's
advanced birthday, they share the same day!
Happy Birthday my bitch, love you always and always will.

As for pictures with the boy shall be posted after his surprise birthday.
I've been busy planning his birthday, it's a surprise!
So after 1st August, I'll have pictures for the boy's birthday.

As youngster, we usually will let others take pictures I believed,
but these hands belongs to Aunties!
One of them even pushed me away.. I didn't know buffet has legs!
I hate buffet! Everyone's like hungry ghost!
hahaha~ nevermind that aside..

Overall, the service wasn't good.
Plates wasn't cleared, if not I would have more pictures.
But no, because I don't want to take pictures full of empty plates. ☹
Food was so-so only.
It's about 60 per pax.

I probably think his family will not dine there again. haha!

Changi Village with Family

It's 8am I got digged out from my bed.

Here I am now in Changi village with Daddy, Mommy & my elder sister.

These are what we ordered.

Because I'm here.. that's why they ordered more fried food than rice or noodle.

I'm soooooo fullllllllllll!

Okay, don't eat the beehoon.

They said it's awful.

Try the carrot cake is quite unique and different from others.

The wu xiang, can't be compared to my Geylang Prawn Mee's

The rojak is awesome and I finished half of it!

Weekends - 家乡 & my ootd.

Everyone thinks I looked different in this.

Usually I wear dress to church but this time round, something different.

Some commented I look younger..hehehe.

Granny asked why is my top so short? LOL!

PS: I know it's not very clear as it's taken by note 3.

Dinner at 家乡, Marina Square.

First time trying it because the boy was craving for Wanton Mee.

I got myself Curry Noodles.

To my surprised it's quite yummy!

Too bad the wanton mee isn't what the boy wanted.

He wanted those with ketchup kind, if you know which I meant.

Nevertheless, we make do with what we have.

My weekends was awesome with my cousins & their kids driving in from Malaysia.

As they wanted to collect Mi3 phone from me.

On Sunday, I had a farewell party with my cell group.

Weekends is so short.

I need more time with the boy.

Time flies, so little time so much things to do.

Taipei' 2014 Day 2 - Tourist style

I named this post as "Tourist Style" because on this 2nd Day of my trip..

We booked Uncle Xu's cab for 8 hours for TWD 3300. TWD 300 is meant for road tax.

He's so nice that he even bought fruits for the boy & I
It's pretty worth it, if you go in 4 persons group.

From Shi Fen - Jiu Fen - Gold Mine - Waterfall - Wu Fen Pu Night Market.
(PS: you can tell him where you wanna go and he will plan a good route on the way & bring you around.)

Shi Fen is the place where you can put Sky Lantern (天灯).

Write your wish & send it up to whomever above.
It's only about TWD 100-200 depends on colour.

I sent mine to Jesus HAHAHA!

At Jiu Fen is more of eating and buying goodies back for office.

And special tea for my darling, only available at Jiu Fen

I don't drink tea, so I won't introduce much on that.

It's a famous-healthy-tea which cost 3 boxes TWD 3000.

It's cheaper if you by 3 boxes at once.

1 box is about SGD42+

It's called "台灣之寶"

Moving on to eating..

The boy & I doesn't eat Yam but we eat this.

Yam without the disgusting texture, if you know what I meant?

So don't blacklist it the moment you know it's Yam, give it a try (:

Famous Taro Ball - Alot of "imitation, make sure you have the correct ones.

The boy love mushroom.
No mushroom can escape from his claws.
So we found this, quite yummy!

After Jiu Fen, walked back to find Uncle Xu and he start to drive us around.

Totally love what he planned.

He brought us to a place where we can touch gold.

No entrance fee.

Right near the entrance, they have an interesting Japanese house.

It was built since 1940s, right there, destroyed & revamp all over again.

It's called "Four-joined Japanese Style Residence"

I love History, it kinda runs in the blood of my family.

It has 4 houses joined together.

The houses are built & designed according to the ranking of the soldiers.

Okay gold touching time~
These is how gold was first found in Taiwan.

It worth TWD 27,691,700 = SGD 654,908,705
Weight: 257 gram.
I can't even push it.
Photos are limited because after us, there came a China women and her Taiwanese Husband.
They keep taking picture and created a queue right behind.

Okay moving on.. next stop is a Waterfall.
Oh yes~ that's Uncle Xu.

Finally back in Taipei City.
Shopping Time at Wufenpu.
Didn't get much stuff.
We were famished and decided to have 胡须张 (鬍鬚張 Formosa Chang ) for dins.

Famous for Minced pork rice (卤肉饭).
Nearest Station: Hou Shan Pi.
I don't fancy Minced pork rice (卤肉饭) but the boy love it.
I had curry rice, yummy!

Usual price if you booked a cab for 8 hours its TWD 4000 and above, exclude standard road tax TWD 300.

Taipei' 2014 Day 1

I'm back & finally have some time to talk about my getaway!

It's really a short trip of just 5 Days. I frequent Taipei, every year once at least

One of the year I went twice.. so actually I kinda know the places inside out.

However, there should always be some new things I get to try in during different trips.

This year, I got to try new hotel, new food & new shopping mall.

I'm still complaining that it's too short, usually I go for at least 6-10 Days, haha but no choice, the boys' school is starting. Well better than nothing. (:

My flight was at an unearthly hour, 12:45AM. But first, let me take a selfie.

no idea why this time round we didn't sleep on the plane.

We were kinda awake and when we reach Taoyuan Airport it was only 5:30AM.

By 6.00AM, we arrived in our hotel in Taipei.

This time round, I finally managed to book in-house Hotel which is always fully booked.

After the stay, I finally could reckon why its always fully booked.

It's way too awesome. Let me put you on hold for the hotel first because check-in time was 2.00PM.

Left our luggage, as usual it's too early, even XimenDing only opened around 11.00AM!

Went for Breakfast at Yong He (XiMenDing), just a turn from our hotel.

Chinese menu, when you ask what's nice, they will tell you: "everything".

So we got the most basics.

by now it was only 9.00AM~ till long way to go.

We decided to hop on the train towards Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall.

We looked at our watches & sighed, only 1-2 hours passed.

We still have a good 3-4 hours before our tired bodies can rest.

We took a train back to XiMenDing, had a drink at Starbucks.

Google "where can you go if you reach Taipei early?".

MASSAGE~YES!

So we google for massage parlour around XiMenDing.

Royal Bali seems well recommended, so we GPS our way there.

Made an appointment at 12.00PM and went back XiMenDing to have Ah Zhong Mian Xian.

* ding dong ding dong~ *

Back to the parlour for massage.

Relaxing ambience. Awesome too just sleep in.

We had a 2 hours massage package for TWD 1499 (SG$63.40).

A little overpriced but yea, we just wanna kill time.

It's finally 2.00PM~ check in hotel.

In-house hotel.

Their toiletries are from L'Occitane.

In-house hotel is really awesome, although I'm not as lucky as my girlfriend whom got free room upgrading.
But my room is still good.
Comfy and beautiful.
Most importantly, they change our bedsheet everyday!
Some Taiwan hotel just make your bed and that's it.

Finally we got to nap.
After nap, we went Shilin Night Market!
To get there, please alight from Jian Tan Station and not Shi Lin Station.
Food.
