HardRock Hotel Staycation - My Birthday Celebration.

Good Morning Earthlings! Today I'm slightly early here but I know I'm long-winded which will only make this post available in the afternoon by the time I clicked "post"! hahaha. I find myself enjoying and loving staycations. So what are the hotels which I had stayed before here in Singapore? Ascott Raffles, ParkRoyal, Swissotel, Grand Copthorne, M hotel, Marina Bay Sand & many many more. This time round, I get to try HardRock Hotel. I was there since the night of 9th October, throughout the 3D2N, he hardly had time for me because he was there for business purposes. I hosted my own party with thegirlfriends on 10th.. hehehe.

It's a Deluxe Room, very small but better than nothing la huh? It's free by the way. Please pardon my shaky hands and the twisting of angle because the room is too small for me to stretch my hands out all the time throughout the video.

The Room

I have to say, I had never like any hotel located in Sentosa. This is just my personal preference. It's very far and I feel as if I'm grounded on a deserted island for 3D2N, travelling out is such a hassle. Not sure why, the rooms of any hotels in Sentosa which I had stayed before were usually sandy. Girlfriends & I went for swimming, doubtlessly the pools are awesomely beautiful & special in its own way. They have a sandy-beach style swimming pool and normal pool but even those normal pool has sand it in. I just feel uncomfortable swimming in it ): but I understand that the hotels also can't keep clearing the sand in the normal pool or stop people whom swam in the sandy ones from coming to the normal pool. So the best is, I'm not going there again. The flooring for the shower room in the room is rather slippery too, baby Cayto nearly slipped and fall. If you are bringing your kids to stay in HardRock Hotel, please take note of the safety of your child, its cramped inside so if your child happened to slip and fall, they might hit some corner or other item within the small space.

After a swim, we were all famished. We had Imperial Treasure for dinner.
Baby Cayto was even more hungry than us.

The food is average but what matter the most is the company that was with me. These girlfriends were with me since secondary school. We had known each other, inside-out. We still do get angry with each other.. That's life. We get it done and over with very soon. Our birthday is very close to each other so we usually celebrate together. Here's all the Libras beside Yvonne. From the single-havoc-party ladies to the going-to-settle-down-very-soon women. Thank you for arranging the surprise and they know I don't eat cakes so my cake is durian puff! hahaha. Love you all very much. Cheers to our many more years to come!

My birthday doesn't just end here. On my actual day, 11th Oct, after check-out, The smellies couple came to pick us up from HardRock Hotel and sent us home, its really damn sweet of them! Appreciate it alot smellies! Had a quick nap, head to town to choose my present. I couldn't decide between Lambskin or Calfskin but I really love the Lambskin. It's too hard to maintain so I'm happy with Calfskin. Love my wallet even until now, been eyeing it for so long. Thank You baby! (:

Initially we wanted to dine at Pince & Pints but they don't take reservation and its a Saturday. To substitute for my Lobster, we still did had Lobster at Crystal Jade (Takashimaya). Both the porridge and Lobster E-fu Noodle are yummy! Such a big lobster for just $38+, can eat right?!

After dins, went to meet the smellies couple at smelly John's crib for a short Youtube session. Ohhh guys, you all should watch "The Return of Superman" it is very nice and addictive. Anyway, We went to KTV at Cash Studio (Cuppage). We didn't know that this outlet had replaced their controller with mobile app. It's draining to the battery but you can ask for a charger. They explained that app is much faster than their initial controller. Overall, my birthday was simple yet I'm very happy with this simplicity. Starting my month right - MBS Staycation

I mentioned in my previous post that I had a staycation at Marina Bay Sands (MBS),
Club room for 3Days2Nights. So I'm going to talk about it today!

Day One: The Surprise!

It's the boys' Birthday on 1st August, I booked the room through Aunty Neo
and planned a surprise party for him.

Got him a present which he would never had expected that I will get.
PS4 with Fifa Bundle + Camera!

In the midst of the planning, there were a few hiccups which cause us some delays on settling down.

As club members, we had access for free food at the club from 2pm-4pm or 5pm-7pm.

Free flow of alcohol and food.

We were in time for the 5pm-7pm slot so we decided to explore The Club at level 57.

Got some bites and I was thinking how to lure the boy out of the hotel,

so that his friends could come over to prepare for the surprise while we're out.

So I told him I wanna go town shopping because I need to buy new dance apparels
for my upcoming dance class.

The boy was probably still overjoyed over his present, he didn't hesitate
and he even paid for my dance apparels! WAHAHAHA! #savemoolah

Trying to drag time and all so that his friends can all be ready when we got back.

The boy had been very suspicious of anything of me.. anyway cut the story short..

The surprise was a success!

Thank you for those who make time to come down to make it happen for the boy.
Most importantly, Thank you the lover, Audrey for helping me to run errand and settle everything for me!
The birthday boy was very happy!

Ohhh, I brought my selfie stick there and it was super of use!

Day Two: Chillax and Fireworks.

The party ended only at 4am with the friends..get ready for bed at 5am.
Woke up at 9am just to get a taste of the breakfast.
Us against the "ocean" view for breakfast.. Love it!
It's buffet style, the food was just so-so though.

Went back to the room and went back to nap till 2pm!
Rush down to town to get games and extra controller for the PS4.

We have guest coming over again to watch fireworks at 8pm.

Our room has an awesome view.

We could see fireworks, almost close to us!
Anyway, the boy got me an extra controller and games such as my Just Dance 2014!
He spent a good $200 on just two games and one controller.
SONY IS REALLY RICH!

After the fireworks, we set up the PS4 in the room and had so much fun!

I simply love Just Dance.
I was very much worn out by 2am.
At 3.15am the boy was hungry and we ordered room service.
Not sure is the food too nice or we were really hungry.. but it really does taste better than whatever food we had these past few days!

Day 3: Last day ):

Went back to our room to do the last packing.
Check out at 12pm and I rushed down to the hospital right after.
Overall, I enjoyed my staycation in MBS.
The service 8/10.
The room 9/10.
The food 7.5/10.
But it is located in a rather accessible place, travelling by train is easy.

FATTY. JUICY. YUMMY Long Weekends!

Saturday (26th July 2014)

The boy went with me to church for my church 25th Anniversary!
It feels even greater, when Terrence is back too!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CHC!

So glad to be in this house of God for more than 11 years, the best has yet to come~!

Happy that I'm blessed with awesome friendship, my awesomepeeps.

We grew up in church together.

After service, my awesomepeeps and I went back down to

Godma's for awesome feasting.

Godma did it again this round with Roasted Veggies, Rosti, Apple Crumple, Pastas &

even self-made Peppermint ice-cream.

Yummy. Yumyums~

The food was so good that all of us were eating quietly and quickly!
Snatching and aiming at the food..

nearly left none for Jojo, the late-comer. hahaha!!

We also took the opportunity to celebrate Terrence and my Boy's
advanced birthday, they share the same day!
Happy Birthday my bitch, love you always and always will.

As for pictures with the boy shall be posted after his surprise birthday.
I've been busy planning his birthday, it's a surprise!
So after 1st August, I'll have pictures for the boy's birthday.

Sunday (27th July 2014)

One of them even pushed me away.. I didn't know buffet has legs!
I hate buffet! Everyone's like hungry ghost!
hahaha~ nevermind that aside..

Overall, the service wasn't good.
Plates wasn't cleared, if not I would have more pictures.
But no, because I don't want to take pictures full of empty plates. ☹
Food was so-so only.
It's about 60 per pax.

I probably think his family will not dine there again. haha!

Dining Experience - Antoinette (Palais Renaissance)

This post is "Throwback Big C's Birthday (Part 2)" and
also review on Antoinette (Palais Renaissance).

Antoinette was one of the most blogged/ instagram-ed dining place/ talk-about.

Reviews after reviews.

The website stated: "Reservations: Highly recommended, 1 week in advance."

Wow~ I thought to myself, is it really that packed?

Since it's Big C's Birthday, we shall dine in pretty restaurants & so we tried Antoinette.

I called in for reservation of table, there's only one contact number provided on the website.

Talk for 3 minutes to find out that that's for Penhas Road outlet.

But I wanna booked Palais Renaissance outlet, the server gave me another number, asked me to call myself and I did.

The place is really pretty. I love this elegant, classy & lavishing-looking restaurant.

It's like dining in the backyard of big houses in America.

Okay, one issue here.. IT'S VERY EMPTY.

Probably just 2 tables were occupied.

I doubt the servers are local and they seems to happily chatting at the cashier area.

At the direction I'm seated, they will not see me if I need assistance.
That very much explained why Antoinette seems to be losing it.
